The map shows the situation of the British Second Army in Operation OVERLORD at midnight on 6/7 June 1944.

The map shows 30 Corps beach from Omaha Beach (US) in the west to east of Bernieres sur Mer together with the beach code names and the corps boundary. Also includes Bayeux and Caen.

The original of this map is almost entirely clean, and is a coloured map covering Arnhem, the River Rhine and, importantly, extends westwards to include the DZs and LZs used for the initial airborne assault in Operation Market Garden.

This map shows the relative positions of the BEF, the French, Belgian and German Armies on 15 May 1940, soon after the German assault began. See also the maps for 20 and 26 May and the Dunkirk evacuation area.

This 1:1,000,000 scale map show the situation of the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) on 20 and 26 May 1940, together with the operational areas of the French, Belgian and German Forces engaged in the fighting. The BEF details include divisional areas.

This is a defence overprint map of 2 July 1944 for Caen. Although showing use marks and stains (the original was used in battle) the map is quite legible.

The map shows the complete beachhead area for I Corps from La Riveire in the west to Houlgate in the east and goes south to below Caen. Overprinted with beach code names and Infantry Division Group boundaries.

The map shows the German defences in I Corps area on D-Day. It shows both beach defences and the strongpoints which were just inland of the invasion beaches. Of value to all readers interested in the first hours of D-Day and is of value to readers who have our reprint of the National Archives papers on I Corps operations on and after the invasion.
